The Nightmare

                             The Nightmare.

Sweat rolls down your cheek, your heart begins to race, every moment feels like a lifetime and you are only waiting for it to end. Tossing and turning, as the covers of your bed begin rap around your body constricting every move you make. Trapped in a dream that feels like it will never end. Every smell, every sight, and everything you touch becomes real and you wonder whether this is just a dream or real life. As your lungs expand with every breath you feel the need to escape, but there is no where to run and no where to hide. You become consumed in the dark world that is a nightmare.

As a child I always became victim to nightmares. To this day I still have the same recurring nightmare as I did when I was five. Although the people and places change and the story becomes a little more detailed with each new year there is always the same fear. This series is about the fear that we all have inside us waiting to visit us during our dreams.

Shot on 35mm Black and White film.
